July 2024 Greetings BRAR Friends!

Summer is here, the market is hot, and you are busy dealing with clients, learning the new contract forms and adjusting to changes brought about by the NAR lawsuit settlement agreement. On top of that, many of you are trying to work in that vacation with family, friends, or all by yourself (like me).  It’s a busy and life-fortifying time of year.  My wish for all of you is that you can enjoy each moment, each opportunity, each connection.  Stay busy, but also nourish yourself by stopping to smell the roses.  They are in bloom.  Most importantly, we all should try our best to uplift those we work and play with, as well as folks who are hurting, lonely, or in need of some compassion.

Someone I’ve known for many years is coming to BRAR this September to uplift YOU with her spirited presentation that asks the question, “What are YOU Worth.” Leigh Brown will also teach a class on “The 3 W’s of Attracting New Listings.” She is a dynamo. Picture the Energizer Bunny with a strong southern accent.  She’s a human B-12 shot.  Do NOT miss this chance to see her, learn from her, and get your batteries recharged. As of this writing, we have 60 members registered for the event, which will be September 11^th, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Millwood Station Banquet Hall.  You’ll get a terrific lunch along with a chance to ask Leigh questions.  Early bird tickets are $50 until July 1^st.  So Hurry!  After that the price goes to $75 and we will open it up to members from surrounding associations in Dulles, Greater Piedmont, and Massanutten.  We can accommodate 250 attendees and I hope most will be BRAR members. To help get us a late June registration bump I am personally offering (using my own money) $10 Starbucks gift cards to the first ten who read this, register, and then send me an email (rob@brarvacom). This is for NEW registrations as a push to keep the momentum going in filling the room to hear the wisdom of my friend, Leigh.  I hope you are enjoying the sunshine, the warmer weather, and staying positive in the wake of so much negativity in our world from whiners, political divisive groups, and social media sites.
